Rehabilitation project of the buildings known as Casa do Governador da Torre de Belém, which were in the process of classification as heritage and in the protection area of the Torre de Belém Monument.

The project includes three buildings in which we tried – from the beginning – to preserve the central building which, although it was never the Governor's house, was the noblest and in a better state of conservation, dating from the 18th century. The two adjacent buildings were built in the 19th century and had poor construction quality.

In the central building, we tried to preserve as much as possible. In the adjacent buildings it was intended to use a contemporary language, however, by city council decision the project reinterpreted the traditional construction style, namely in the dimensions of the openings and the type of façade, resulting in a building integrated with the surroundings and including exclusive apartments.
